Selection from 100 furniture ideas
I was asked to produce rough sketches of 100 furniture pieces in less than 5 hours. A number of ideas were based on the ceramic sculptures of Merete Rasmussen, while others were inspired by geometry, nature, or classic furniture pieces.
Sketches in ballpoint pen and then scanned and traced.
Less than three minutes per idea meant that I could not dwell on any one, but was forced to continuously move forward.
Merete Rasmussen's ceramic sculptures influenced these pieces and helped me challenge how we could interact with abstract furniture.
